His Training - October's Gift

Romans 11:29 (KJV) - "For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance."

A gift is something that is given to you. You do nothing to earn it. . The word “gift” (charisma PWS: 1674) means the very special ability given to the believer by God. Every good and perfect gift is from above. These gifts are from God; it is not a natural talent. Everyone has a gift. It is a spiritual gift; it is given by the Spirit of God for spiritual purposes. It is given to the believer so that he can fulfill his task on earth. Gifts are given after we come to know the grace of God. Your gift may differ from someone else's but the same Spirit.

As Believers we must acknowledge His benefits. In recognizing our gifts we are better able to co-labor together to supply the needs of the body. We have no reason to envy another's gift. God gave us just what we needed to fulfill His Will. The bible reveals information about the gifts of God in various ways. You will find Paul teaching about them, examples of them in use, and instructions on how to use them. Also, there are different test on the market to help you pin point your gift. We must recognize the gifts of God. First we must see Jesus as the greatest gift unto men. When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. I have learned that it is not always what you say your gift is but rather what you are found doing. If your gift is teaching, then we will find you teaching. If your gift is Evangelist, then we will find you preaching the Gospel, and leading people to Christ.

Often you will be doing it before you know what it is called. Like Armor bearing. You may not know why you like to serve but it is what you do. Once you find out what it is then you should study to become skillful. You will find as you read your word that there is the gift of administration, the gift of helps, Salivation is a gift, the Holy Spirit is a gift, babies are gifts , and many more. The questions is will you receive His gifts? Ask yourself, what will I do with what He gave me and what service/ worship will I give Him.

The gifts Jesus gave were almost like a gift certificate. He gave them but we must first come into the knowledge and grace of God before we can receive them. Somebody say Mature. When you get a gift certificate you may not use it when you receive it. You know it has value but you have to grow into knowing how, when or where to use it., Often times we can go a life time not knowing all the gifts that God has endowed us with. We may think it comes from our education, our parents, or even from ourselves. The bible says (KJV)

For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. Many allow satan to use our gifts, this does not mean that God has taken your gift back. It is like the Prophetic, you use your gift for God and He is the source of the power behind the gift, verses the psyshic where you use the gift for satan and he is the source of power. Yes, this is my opinion after prayer, study and rightly dividing the matter. What do you think? A person with a beautiful Voice, (Gift from God?) Singing rap, circular music, verses singing hymns, gospel, or worship music. You do the study and let me know what you find. AMEN. You have a choice of whom to lend your gift to. This training is to cause you to

  • a. Know that Jesus gave gifts.
  • b. Know that God gave you certain gifts.
  • c. Find your gift and learn how to be the best.
  • d. Use it mightily for God.

There is so much more, you will have to study to show yourselves approved. It is up to you to study the word concerning God’s gifts and have a clear understanding of your own gifts. James 1:17 - “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”

Ephes. 4:7 (KJV) - "But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ."

1 Cor. 7:7 (KJV) - "For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that."

1 Cor. 12:4 (KJV) - "Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit."

Psalm 103:2 (KJV) - "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits."

Ephes. 4:16 (KJV) -" From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love."

1 Cor. 12:1 (KJV) - 'Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant."

Ephes. 4:8 (KJV) - 'Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men."

Ephes. 4:7 (KJV) - "But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ."

Romans 12:1-18 (KJV) - "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. [2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."

[3] For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. [4] For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: [5] So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. [6] Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; [7] Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; [8] Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

[9] Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. [10] Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; [11] Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord; [12] Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; [13] Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. [14] Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. [15] Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. [16] Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. [17] Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. [18] If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men."

Ephes. 2:8 (KJV) - "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God."

Ephes. 3:7 (KJV) - "Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power."

1 Cor. 13:2 (KJV) - "And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing."

Romans 11:29 (KJV) - "For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance."
