August ID's

Everyone has a finger print or had one that belongs to you alone. We are so unique that no one has the same fingerprints as yours. In the world it is used to distinguish who you are. If you call yourself a Christian then you should be Christ like. CHRISTIAN; the name given by the Greeks or Romans, probably in reproach, to the followers of Jesus. It was first used at Antioch. The names by which the disciples were known among themselves were :brethren, the faithful, elect, saints, believers.

But as distinguishing them from the multitude without, the name 'Christian' came into use, and was universally accepted. This name occurs but three times in the New Testament (Acts 11:26; Acts 26:28; 1 Peter 4:16).

Romans 10:14 (KJV) How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

This is why it is so important to be discipled. Taught. Everyone has to be equipped before going forth to represent Christ, We must learn of Him and spend time with Him to absorb and assimilate His very character and behavior. We must begin to be like Him, and in becoming like Him, we must continue to follow Him and serve Him with all that we are and with all that we have. We must know the ID of our God, of ourselves, and of our enemy. We can easily ID other Christians by their actions as well as by their professions. The two will line up. Check yourself first and continue to follow after Him so that you may become more like Him.

Matthew 7:3 (KJV) And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

If we run the actions through the spiritual database, which is the Bible, we will be able to ID who is behind the action. Also we are able to ID the enemy by His actions and his professions. This is why we must know our God and our enemy. If we identify who is behind the action we will not fight the flesh and blood fight we so often find ourselves in. This often leads to Non Christ like actions on the part of the Christian. We may find ourselves not walking in the fruit of the Spirit nor as Christ would. This teaching is designed to help you ID Your God, Yourself and Your enemy.

God's ID

God is: The Creator, is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance, Faithful, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Omniscient, Holy, Just to name a few. We must know Our God.

Isaiah 11:1-3 (KJV) And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: [2] And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord; [3] And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears: Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV) These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: [17] A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, [18] An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, [19] A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren. Genesis 1:26-27 (KJV) And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

John 1:1-3 (KJV) In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. Galatians 5:22-24 (KJV) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, [23] Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. [24] And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Matthew 24:34-35 (KJV) Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. [35] Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Matthew 19:26 (KJV) But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Psalm 139:7 (KJV) Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? Jude 1:25 (KJV) To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 1:15-16 (KJV) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; [16] Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Your ID

1 Cor. 3:16 (KJV) Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 2 Cor. 5:17 (KJV) Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Galatians 3:26-28 (KJV) For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. [27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. [28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4:4-7 (KJV) But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, [5] To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. [6] And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father. [7] Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. Ephes. 2:19-22 (KJV) Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; [20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; [21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: [22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Satan's ID

Satan can quote the Word as well as must Christians but that doesn't make him a Christian. Satan is a thief, a murderer, a destroyer, an accuser of the Brethen, an adversary, a devour, an enemy, Father of all lies, the wicked one, the son of perdition( destruction, ruin, waste, loss), a tempter, just to name a few of his actions.

John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Rev. 12:10 (KJV) And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 1 Peter 5:8-9 (KJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: [9] Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.

Matthew 13:39 (KJV) The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. John 8:44 (KJV) Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 17:12 (KJV) While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. Matthew 4:3 (KJV) And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
